Theme: Educating for Innovation and Innovation in Education

 

Topics of Sessions:

 

 1. The Teacher in the Innovative World: role of the teacher in the new era; adapting teacher's

    skills, the teaching force; required changes in teacher's role; required skills for teachers   

    educating students for entrepreneurship and innovation; recruiting high quality people to

    the education system from the industry / high tech / academic field; developing teacher's skills  

    required for the use of technology.

 

2. Educating for Entrepreneurship (Start-Up Nation in Education): educating for

    entrepreneurship; developing creativity; "chutzpah" for levering innovation and creative

    thinking; meaningful learning and relevant learning.

 

3. Educational Technology (EdTech): teacher's influence on successful integration of learning

    enhancement technologies; successful technology versus unsuccessful technology; creating an

    interface between EdTech companies and schools; level of  autonomy required for this

    interface.

 

4. Technology in Education as a Tool for Developing Innovation: technological literacy

     learning / technology skills; impact of technology in education for developing students'

     independent learning capabilities; effect of technological changes on education; rapid pace of  

     student adjustment to new technologies; interactions between schools and industry / high-tech

     companies.

Meals during the meeting and official dinner will be provided by the Israeli Ministry of Education.

If you have any special requirements (e.g. vegetarian, religious or medical requirements) of which we were not advised on your registration form, please let us know before your arrival. This is very important, as caterers normally require advance notice of special requirements.
