Heterogeneous Spectrum Bands Aggregation Prototype with Cognitive Radio Capabilities (1146)

This paper presents the design and simulation of an RF prototype that is able to aggregate heterogeneous spectrum bands employing cognitive radio capabilities. Dynamic carrier aggregation and the aggregation of licensed with unlicensed bands include the main features of the presented prototype. Cognitive radio capabilities are incorporated like spectrum sensing through power detection and dynamic CA through switching among the RF chains.
